Justin Smith was transported to St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center, but life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and the 17-year-old was pronounced dead at 6:20 p.m. Monday in the emergency room, according to a news release Thursday from Ada County Coroner Richard D. Riffle. The cause and manner of death are pending.
