Bachmann 32-612 | Class 90 | Electric Locomotive | 90042 | Freightliner | OO Gauge | Review | HD

Here is my review of the Bachmann Class 90 Electric Locomotive in OO gauge that is a brand new 2019 release and this one is the Freightliner Powerhaul version numbered as 90042. I have to say that this one is a very impressive model locomotive that has been in the works for a while with Bachmann but I feel strongly that the wait has been well worth it in my opinion.

The Class 90 from Bachmann is the first UK OO gauge model locomotive to have a functioning pantograph under DCC and it is first of its kind from anyone that makes OO gauge model trains. The model is DCC ready but you MUST use the specified decoder to use the pantograph otherwise it will likely destroy the servo motor.

The Bachmann Class 90 has extensive detail inside and out as there is a detailed cab, sprung buffers and the model includes a detail packs with flush valances if you wish to remove the coupler at one or even both ends to make it a display model.

The performance is very smooth and the motor is almost silent when in use. This is a great model from Bachmann and I shall look forward to getting other variants of this Bachmann Class 90 and I hope that they will make a EWS and a DB Schenker version as well as the RES Parcels livery on this fantastic new model. Bachmann has a grand job on this model.
