I redesign the new 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona as well as the 2025 Dodge Charger Sixpack to fix some of the questionable design choices, from the hatchback to the long nose and front overhang.
First off, I take the Dodge Charger 2-door, removing the hatchback, changing the angle of the windshield, moving the sail panel forward, which also fixes the roof line and rear window. The biggest change comes with the shortening of the overhang, and making the nose smaller.
A small tweek is the lower crease to make the car seem more supple.
The 2024 Dodge Charger 4 door is the primary model, in other words, this design was created first, followed by the coupe. Still, the roofline needs correcting, the hatchback removed, adding a proper trunk, and of course, shortening the nose. The final design, I think, is actually a good looking car, that truly would follow in the footsteps of the prior Scat Packs and Hellcat Chargers.
The fun part is the front fascia. The R-Wing is a missed opportunity to add pop-up headlights, a feature that has gained popularity in recent years. The R-Wing would actually prove useful in pedestrian collisions. And it looks awesome!
The gas powered car, the Charger Sixpack, with the Hurricane Twin-Turbo inline-6 does not have the R-Wing, but that doesn’t mean it cannot take cues from the 1968-1970 Charger, with concealed headlamps. The prototype of the new Dodge Charger Daytona gives us the grill DNA, which can be moved to the grill, and over the headlights. I think this would be a very good look design.
Ultimately, this is fairly useless I believe, since Dodge deliberately made the Sixpack ugly, to push what Stellantis wants. A purely EV based brand, regardless of what the customers, the Mopar Brotherhood wants. They forget that many of their non Muscle Cars are bought by us as well, supporting the brand we loved. But we are alienated.
Still, the Brotherhood is strong, and we will outlast this New Dodge
