SCco.gov Hospitalization SLASHING STATS & Fauci cases getting younger FOLLOW-UP 12/20/2020

From Nov 26th to Nov 27th SCco adjusted data stating "surge" beds were erroneously being calculated into all beds available. However, close inspection reveals major discrepancies still yet unaccounted for? How full is Silicon Valley really?

Old statement (After admission of oversight):
Data Notes: Available beds represents the number of adult beds that are able to be used based on current hospital staffing. The count of available "surge capacity" beds is not included on this dashboard because the number of beds that can be brought into service depends on staffing, which is currently limited throughout the country....

Data notes: The standard maximum capacity of ICU beds for all hospitals in Santa Clara County is 317. The standard maximum capacity of non-ICU beds is 1,754. Pediatric beds and pediatric COVID-19 cases are not included in this dashboard. A Person Under Investigation (PUI) is an individual that is believed to have COVID-19 based on symptoms. PUIs are tested for COVID-19 and are treated with similar precautions as a COVID-19 confirmed patient until laboratory results confirm whether they have COVID-19. An ICU bed is a bed that is equipped and staffed to be capable of ICU level care by providing mechanical ventilation and invasive monitoring. Non-ICU beds exclude ICU beds as well as beds for physical rehabilitation, perinatal care, and psychiatric beds. Pediatric patients with COVID-19 and pediatric PUIs are included in the total count of COVID-19 patients but not in the bed-specific counts (i.e., ICU beds or Non-ICU beds).
