But how can that be. We hear everyone from Prager University to the government telling us that men make more money
when they are married. That would mean they work longer hours yet here we have a study saying that marriage is a psychological mechanism to get men to stop working. Just because married men work harder and longer hours doesn't mean they work smarter. They have to work all that extra time so they can afford to retire one day. They might not excel in their career as much but who cares? They get to reproduce and live out an average or slightly above average existance and hopefully they don't get divorced or nagged to death too soon to enjoy their retirement. Men are supposed to be smart enough to be useful to women but dumb enough to be used. bet each other for quarters. But as the summer dragged on the caterpillers started making their cocoons and so did that fast caterpiller.
