The approaching Cyclone Gaja lashed the southeast coast of India with high winds and rain on Thursday, November 15. This video shows rough waves at a beach next to the Ajantha Sea View Hotel in Pondicherry, about 90 miles south of Chennai. The cyclone was forecast to make landfall at the coastal town of Cuddalore, which lies 15 miles south of Pondicherry, on Thursday night, the Times of India reported.
