Asheville, NC is talking about reparations, not in the 'traditional' sense, why not lift all people

In Asheville, North Carolina the city council has voted to unanimously move forward to explore the concept of 'reparations' for blacks in the city. It is at the exploratory stage, there is little in the way of detail at this point other than the thought to give people money because of the color of their skin.

If cities want to do this and they put it to a vote and the residents vote to willingly give their own money to someone else, then, that's democracy. Perhaps a better plan would have been to try to uplift those on the lower end of the socioeconomic scale, regardless of race, what a crazy concept right!
