Animal Super Squad - Early Access Watcher -

A couple of animals were enlisted to drive some experimental vehicles across a range of "attempted rage inducing obstacle courses" for no better reason than to provide some measure of entertainment. The main objective is to get from point A to point B without dying and adapt to roadblocks along the way. If you die, you respawn and keep trying. Once you finish the levels in Adventure mode (around 20), you can construct your own levels to share with others.

This is purely physics-based with enough explosions to show off the moderately pleasing backgrounds and ware/tare of the vehicles. Sound is passable, level layouts are designed well (if not a bit simple) and the level editor offers enough basic components to create some interesting maps. My biggest grip though is with the dull nature of the gameplay. There isn't much in the way of challenging obstacles until you get to the last level on the last map and the second map. I was mainly holding down W and breezing through a majority of it. I am sure the community will bring forth some interesting challenges through their own creation, but for the levels on offer in the standard package, it is simple enough to finish in under a hour and a half. I am not saying it is a terrible game, just a shallow one.
