For just £4.99 I was not expecting too much but in fact, I was very pleasantly surprised when this rather impressive oil diffuser arrived from the rather curiously named RUN ANT company.
In the rather utilitarian branded product was just the device itself along with a promotional flyer. No instructions were included or needed but a simple advisory note explaining what sort of liquids were suitable for the sprayer and even perhaps a recipe booklet would have been a nice bonus. Had the item been more expensive and aimed at a high-end market point then their inclusion along with better and more upmarket presentation would be a must.
At 6.9 X 1.6 inch in size the diffuser is larger and more impressive than I was expecting. I was also expecting a plastic made cheap looking item but again no. The sprayer is made with a heavy duty 100ml glass bottle and a stainless steel cap. The spraying mechanism is the same as on many similar devices with the thumb-operated pump on the top and a plastic feeder tube extending down into the bottom of the bottle.
The unit can be used to spray any suitable non-viscous liquid from the nozzle, located inside the stainless steel cap through the opening made for that purpose. You have to prime the pump with a few presses first and then it sprays a highly diffuse wide angled air/liquid mixture onto the food. I use it mainly for oil but it can also be used for water, vinegar or any form of dressing that is not too thick and has to bits in it. Take note not to overfill the bottle and to give it a good wash, particularly the pump, each time it is refilled. The supplier has made available a short illustration showing how to best use the sprayer, which I have added to the end of my video.
This is a very attractive looking item that would be at home on the dining table as well as in the kitchen. Build quality is excellent and for the modest price, it is a very attractive buy.
