Mirrored from Liberum Arbitrium. The truth ALWAYS "ages well", and we'll see who has the last laugh. Alas, the "justice" system does not always serve justice. Yet the facts i stated are still true:
Aubrey was a convicted thief, who had committed repeated trespass at least five times with intent to steal (he sure as hell wasn't "jogging", lols).
A citizen's arrest is perfectly legal, as is carrying a rifle or shotgun, and with someone like Aubrey, had a policeman been the one to attempt the arrest it would likely have ended the same way.
Aubrey wasn't running FROM the men and clearly didn't feel threatened by them, or he would not have gone out of his way to run AT them, physically attacking the man and attempting to take his rifle, and after a long struggle was clearly accidentally shot when he yanked a gun by its barrel (MORON).
So time will tell how well my comment "ages", but you can be sure of one thing: regardless of the legal consequences, good people are getting fed up with being preyed upon by these uncivilized ANIMALS like Aubrey, and will inevitably do something about it, again, regardless of the consequences.
