Pros and cons of lockdowns; Dr. Anne McCloskey - ‘The shots are killing people: we need to stop this’ - the damage done by Covid vaccines. Almost 16,000 sign petition supporting Dr Anne McCloskey after anti-vaccination suspension Dr McCloskey said that the majority of patients under her care were fully vaccinated but presented as "sick, distressed worried and traumatised people". She described the vaccine as an "experimental genetic therapy" and claimed that many people had been "bribed or bullied" into receiving both doses or else face the removal of their "basic human rights", such as travel and meeting friends. Recent figures show that 70 per cent of the north's Covid patients being treated in intensive care have not received a vaccine. A petition titled Reinstate Dr Anne McCloskey had attracted more than 15,800 signatures last night. Dr McCloskey said she always puts patient welfare first. "Over 40 years I have always practised medicine face to face and it has always been patient focused," she said. "My record will show my first and only loyalty is to my patients. I have absolutely no regrets and welcome the opportunity to defend my good name." Her solicitor Michael Brentnall confirmed his client is to appeal her suspension. "Dr McCloskey is on record as merely putting forward legitimately held concerns around the Covid-19 vaccines," he said. "Furthermore she denies any breach of client confidentiality. "The concerns put forward by our client are legitimately held and she bases those concerns on publicly available scientific evidence. "She calls for further investigation into the vaccine roll out, especially for children." A spokeswoman for the HSCB said it "is following process in relation to this investigation, it is not appropriate to respond further at this stage".
Covid and disaster capitalism. Nicola Richards on BBC Women’s Hour, discussing the unfairness of all care workers having to be vaccinated. Social care staffing in crisis. Fertility issues with Covid vaccine – 8 x more miscarriages for ladies who have had vaccine. ‘No jab no job’ policy risks staffing crisis in care homes, union warns England’s care homes are facing a staffing crisis which threatens to overwhelm the sector, as thousands of unvaccinated workers have just days left to get their first coronavirus jab or face the sack, a union has warned. A “no jab no job” rule requires all of those working in care homes to be fully vaccinated by 11 November, but with an eight-week delay between the two doses staff must get their first vaccination by 16 September - less than a fortnight away - in order to comply. Unison called on ministers to scrap the rule before this month’s deadline, warning that there could otherwise be widespread closure of care homes, which are already short of 110,000 workers. The government’s own risk analysis, published when the policy was announced in July, found that up to 70,000 of England’s 570,000 care home workers could leave, at a cost of £100 million to the sector. Unison general secretary Christina McAnea warned that an exodus is already beginning of care home staff who want to remain in the job, but are hesitant about receiving the vaccine or feel they are being bullied. She said ministers were “sleepwalking into disaster” by failing to lift the jab requirement.
