Dr. Roger Hodkinson, President of the Alberta Society of Laboratory Physicians, a renowned pathologist, at the Edmonton City Council Community and Public Services Committee (Canada) zoom meeting on November 13, 2020 about the city's move to extend its coronavirus face-covering bylaw. Hodkinson, an expert in pathology, slammed the Canadian government's coronavirus response and blamed politicians and media for generating false fear.
In Dr. Roger Hodkinson's testimony, he called coronavirus crisis "the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public." The doctor condemned the government's overblown response to the virus and its negative affects,
"The scale of the response that you are undertaking with no evidence for it is utterly ridiculous given the consequences of acting in a way that you're proposing. All kinds of suicides, business closures, funerals, weddings etc. It's simply outrageous!"
The doctor said that nothing that can be done to stop the spread of the virus besides protecting older more vulnerable people. He stressed that the virus is comparable to a "a bad flu season" adding, "this is not Ebola. It's not SARS. It's politics playing medicine and that's a very dangerous game."
Dr. Hodkinson's slammed the government's misguided advice of social distancing and lockdowns stating, "Social distancing is also useless because COVID is spread by aerosols which travel 30 meters or so before landing. Enclosures have had such terrible unintended consequences. Everywhere should be opened tomorrow…"
Dr. Hodkinson condemned mandatory mask mandates and their lack of effectiveness, "Masks are utterly useless. There is no evidence base for their effectiveness whatsoever. Paper masks and fabric masks are simply virtue-signaling. They're not even worn effectively most of the time. It's utterly ridiculous."
Dr. Hodkinson pointed his current role as CEO of a biotech company, Western Medical Assessments, which manufactures COVID tests means, "I might know a little bit about all this." He spoke of the unreliability of PCR tests, noting that "positive test results do not, underlined in neon, mean a clinical infection." Furthermore the doctor believes all test should stop immediately because the inflated "fake numbers are driving public hysteria."
Dr. Roger Hodkinson's credentials are extremely impressive, he received his general medical degrees from Cambridge University in the UK, and then became a Royal College certified pathologist in Canada (FRCPC). Dr. Hodkinson was the President of the Alberta Society of Laboratory Physicians and Chairman of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada Examination Committee and Pathology in Ottawa. The Doctor was also a pathologist with the Medical Examiner's Office in Edmonton determining the cause of death. Also an Assistant Professor in Faculty of Medicine at Alberta University.
