BEAM (1989, C64)

BEAM is a puzzle game by German company Magic Bytes which was also released for Amiga and Atari ST. The goal is to open the exit in each level by activating energy barriers. Each level starts off with one active energy node. If your ship touches it, it will by charged. If you then touch an inactive energy node, it will be activated, if there is a free horizontal or vertical path to an active energy node. In that case, an energy barrier is established. If all nodes are connected, the exit will open. You need to make sure that the barriers do not block your way to the exit, as your ship will be destroyed on touching one.
