The Breed is a Filipino hard rock band. Their song, Black Mercedes Benz, speaks of the greed and moral decay of the wealthy, in a country with plenty of poor people and blatant injustice. Manny Amador, their lead guitarist, passed away. We were classmates in Grade School, and I did not know him well, but I remember him as a deep thinker, who discerned things about the world that others did not. I hope to see him again in heaven, where we can praise the Lord for eternity!
