the rolling stones - blue turns to grey (version 2) - stereo remix
Edit of vs 2 for headphones. With the BBC Top of the Pops dancers group.
Now don't Lulu and Sue fit in perfectly into this video?
Exactly the kind of dancing this version deserves, don't you think?
This music is from the same tape that was used for "Dick and Dee" and their version of the song, as well as the one by "The Mighty Avengers" etc.
It is a mono tape from Andrew Loog Oldham and his crappy orchestra. This "Stones" version has an organ added on the left and some background singers here (l) and there (r), just to give a stereo effect. (Nicely done, by the way, but I prefer the Stones as backing vocals.)
The cd is "Necrophilia" from the Vinyl Gang, cd nr. vgp-317.
Recorded first in October 1964, rerecorded on September 6 & 7, 1965. Version 1 was released on "December's Children (and everybody's)" (US) in 1965 and in April 1971 on the UK album "Stone Age". Version 2 was released on "Necrophilia" in 1971 or so, but only a few copies of the vinyl exist, for it was stupidly withdrawn by ABKCO. Though various bootlegs are available. You can download them for free with "SoulSeek".
Lead vocals: Mick Jagger.
BLUE TURNS TO GREY
(Jagger/Richards)
So now that she is gone
You won't feel bad for long
For maybe just an hour or just a moment
Of the day
Then blue turns to grey
And try as you may
You just don't feel good
And you know that you will find her, find her, find her
You think you'll have a ball
And you won't care at all
You'll find another girl or maybe more
To pass the time away
Then blue turns to grey
And try as you may
You just don't feel good
And you know that you must find her, find her, find her
guitar solo
Then blue turns to grey
And try as you may
You just don't feel good
And you know that you must find her, find her, find her
She's not home when you call
You walk and go to all
the places where she likes to be
But she has been away
Then blue turns to grey
And try as you may
You just don't feel good
And you know that you won't find her, find her, find her
(blue turns to grey) yeah yeah yeah yeah
(blue turns to grey) mm mm mm mm
(blue turns to grey) o o o yeeh
(blue turns to grey) o o o yeeh
(blue turns to grey) mm mm mm mm
(blue turns to grey) mm mm mm mm
