This is just a test of the new Canon 90D with the Canon EF-S 17-55mm lens on the night sky up here in NE Ohio. Please be kind, I'm not a professional, and was only testing for stars in the dark skies since that's my main objective of what I film.
At 5:00 in is when I went back out after reviewing the first attempt. There may be a decent(ish) setting of ISO 12800 with the shutter speed at 1/8, and maybe even going as far up as 16000 ISO at the 1/8. At that speed the tripod needs to be steady and not panned around or else it's too jittery.
Maybe a F/1.8 or even F/2 lens would help more. Interesting test though. It beats the Canon 80D & Nikon P1000 hands down for low light video, at least in my opinion.
