If you are starting out on your brewing hobby than you may think that either less equipment or more equipment is needed. Some expect a full suite of fermenting tanks, special fridges and other tools. Some think that you just need a bottle of bakers yeast, some sugar and sealed vessel.
The luckier people will be begin when given a beer brewing kit that includes most the hardware/ equipment needed to get started. Others may try to get going them selves. This video is mostly for the latter group who are starting out from beginning with nothing or limited knowledge and a tight budget
At a minimum you will need
A large pot (12-20L or 3-5 gallons)
A fermenter; ideally 2 for beer brewing
An air lock for each fermenter
Sanatiser
A sugar hydrometer
Bottles
A stirring Spoon
A thermometer
Most of this is available for under $50 and you may find better or worse deals locally. Allow between $30 and $70 for your total budget.
With this equipment you can begin brewing your regular fermentations reliably and predictably. If you want to get onto distilling it is a different beast entirely and you should look here for details on that :
