Winter Hammock Camping in the Hoosier National Forest December 31st, 2018

I could not let 2018 say goodbye before getting out for one more short overnighter to do some winter hammock camping. The location we chose is the Charles C. Deam Wilderness in the Hoosier National Forest. The HNF is one of my favorite places to hike, backpack, and camp in Indiana. It is also one of the places not really affected by the current partial government shutdown. On this trip, I opted for the Dream Hammock Raven paired with my Hammock Gear 20 degree under quilt, and zero degrees top quilt. I was also out testing my DJI Osmo Pocket and my new GoPro Hero Black 7. Both are pretty awesome to film with. My buddy John was using his Alps Mountaineering one man tent and he really liked it. The location we chose to camp in this round was a frog pond located just off the Terrill ridge trail.
