With recent events that lead to the loss of Gab’s hosting, domain registrar, and payment processors, the company has decided to still claim it is a Free Speech platform while acting in a fashion contrary to this. Recently a user was de-platformed from Gab with questionable statements given by both the Gab official account and the CEO Andrew Torba in regards to it. It appears this was done as a result more due to politics than ToS violations. Especially where it was done with no warnings or second chances offered to the user. Now, Gab has just added the ability for users to remove other users from their posts’ threads and shadow ban them from them. Neither of these things are remotely promoting of Free Speech. Not even close.

In this video we take a look at this change in direction for Gab and the response from users of the site.
