Every tool box had kits, some pre-made, other kits you put together yourself. With time, you will build kits with the tools you need for a particular job.
The coolest kit is the vintage Progressive Electronics “The Tracer” (model 77M Tracer and 200B Inductive Amplifier). This kit lets you find and trace an electrical circuit out of many or just finding where it goes! It’s a great tool!
Also, I have a home made vacuum leak down test kit, made from vacuum hoses, tee, check valve, and this lets you find if a vacuum system leaks or not!
Of course, you need at least a basic OBD-II scanner/delete tool and a basic multimeter.
