Thor Gayatri Mantra

Asatru and Sanatana Dharma are sister religions. Thor is known in the Vedic tradition as Jayanta. Thor's father, Odin, is known in the Vedic tradition as Indra. At the request of several Asatru leaders, in 2014 Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya revealed to the world the Thor Gayatri Mantra. This sacred mantra was revealed to Sri Acharyaji in perfect Sanskrit meter. It is his gift to the Asatru community.

Thor Gayatri Mantra:

Aum Odinputraya Vidmahe
Vajrahastaya Dhimahi
Tanno Donar Prachodayat Aum

Translation:

Aum. Let us meditate upon the Son of Odin,
May Thor, that great wielder of the
Thunderbolt, inspire and illumine our
minds and understanding. Aum
