This is a 0-4-0 model train with an incredible and impressive but unrealistic top speed. I only used about 45% power on my model train controller for the test run, otherwise I would fear that it would derail and we don't want that :). The model comes with optional detail parts in the form of brake pipes that will make the model train look nice. I picked up this model train in very good condition considering its age. It has had very low use, so I did a wee lubrication before making this video.
The Hornby Class 06 is able to handle the test train very well with no problems although shunter locomotives are not designed to move huge trains in one go anyway as this model would not have the strength to haul my long test train that I did in the last review video. Overall this is a very nice cheap model from Hornby and these small model trains are ideal for newcomers into the hobby that are on a low budget because of their low price.
