This video corrects a plot of weekly deaths from pneumonia and influenza in 2019 and 2020 used in previous videos. This does not change the substantive conclusions. It does however reduce the size of the problem. There were still more deaths from "pneumonia and influenza" in 2019 than in comparable weeks through March 28, 2020 (this year) despite the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. I discuss the possible reasons for this and also some of the problems with the CDC's numbers, commentary, and graphics such as the "Percent Complete" table on the FluView web site.
