As I leave her all the space she needs moving around it seems to feel like a whole lot of freedom she doesn't know how to handle.

When she slowly feels comfortable enough to come closer and let herself be moved by me, she tells me how frightening it feels to receive so much freedom.

In other words, if any kind of leader gives you freedom to decide yourself what you want, it can actually feel frightening, if you are used to letting others decide for you.
