Michael Phillips & A.O. Scott reviews "The A-Team", "Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work" (I have that Documentary on Blu-ray, it's terrific! Joan will be missed!) "The Karate Kid" (aka "The Kung-Fu Dream" or "The Kung-Fu Kid" which is should be. It was a fine film as a different spin-off and not a straightforward remake.), "Killers" (Just a few weeks before a much better and underrated action comedy, "Knight and Day" with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz came out. By comparison, this is just a 97 minute bad sitcom material with no chemistry and charisma of both Kutcher and Heigi! It also wasn't screened by professional critics, that's always a bad sign.), "Agona" and "Winter's Bone" (Featuring the early Pre-Oscar performance of Jennifer Lawrence).
Over/Under: "80s Movies": Looking back in a era that was totally awesome in retrospective but deserves lots of respect! Films like "Runaway Train", "Ishtar" (shudder, Really Scott? Are you drunk?), "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" and "When Harry... Met Sally" (Both may be overrated as they claimed, but they're classics that will stay with us forever!)
&
3 To See: Phillips' Picks are "Splice", "Winter's Bone" and "Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work".
