Since this place is very near to the University in the Banglamphu area. One could say that this is what students eat, "Student Fuel" if you will, "Gra prao gai kai dao" is how they call it.
It is essentially a plate with a bowl-shaped mound of rice, a nice, fried egg and some sauteed chicken with herbs. Sooo good!, it is hard to express just how good this tasted despite the simplicity of the dish, I mean you have the Umami from the chicken and the egg, and some chilies that you add on top, plus the rice and the juice that forms from frying that delicious food in a wok. Yum!
I also ordered, spontaneously, a nice papaya salad.
Last, but not least: Check those views, I arrived in the perfect moment, not just because they were about to close (as you can hear in the video) but that sunset and those sunset colors are just spectacular, perfect pairing for the food!
Here's what I ordered:
- Gra prao gai kai dao
- Papaya salad w/ crab
The price was 120 Baht.
