he took a hit of salvia
and then it hit, a revelation
sinister gods bowling with planets
rolling dice with all of creation
and he was it, the bowling pin
they knocked him down, he disintegrated
into scattered shards across the grid
across the grid, across the grid
some landed in pools of prehistoric ooze
some landed in the grave sites of other gods
some landed in humans and cut like a knife
then he went surging into this life

"The less you know, the better" they said
"The infinite potentiality is baffling."

are we merely the playthings of sleeping gods dreaming us
or are we just here to bump and grind a little while before collapsing to dust?
breathing energy inward, breathing energy outward

some say there is no enlightenment
we are already enlightened

every week another public shooting, every week another public scandal
every second another photo snapshot of nothingness
every minute another random record hits the scene
is our time rolling, rolling down the line?
