Metal Slader Glory - Director's Cut (メタルスレイダーグローリー ディレクターズカット) (2000, SNES)

Metal Slader Glory - Director's Cut is an adventure/ visual novel by HAL Laboratory which was published by Nintendo. It is an enhanced port of the 1991 NES game Metal Slader Glory, which was also developed by HAL. Both versions were only released in Japan. The SNES port was the last official game for the system.
The story is set in the future. Some time after a war, 17 year-old orphan Tadashi Himukai buys a secondhand worker-mech to start a construction business along with his girlfriend Elina Furfa. However, the mech turns out to be a battle mech, a "Metal Slader", although all of there were supposed to have been dismantled. Tadashi reads a message in the cockpit warning "EARTH IN PERIL... SEEK THE CREATOR". Tadashi, his little sister Azusa, and Elina head into space in search of answers.
The game plays like a typical visual novel. You see the environment from the protagonist's perspective. There are no puzzles or objects, but you can examine your surroundings, talk to people, move around or perform actions depending on your situation.
