"Elvis Presley Dans G. I. Blues ("Café Europa en Uniforme")" is a RCA promotional EP for the movie "G I. Blues" (titled "Café Europa" in Europe) released in France in 1961.
Recording sessions took place on April 27 and May 6, 1960, at RCA Studio C and Radio Recorders in Hollywood, California.
"G. I. Blues / Café Europa" was Elvis' first movie and soundtrack after returning from Germany in 1960.
As the movie would be released in France only in March 1961, RCA created a marketing strategy of releasing an EP with 4 songs from the soundtrack to attract people to the movie and its songs in February.
For the work, the first two songs were the reissue of the 1960 UK single ("Wooden Heart / Tonight's All Right For Love"), followed by "G.I. Blues" and "Didja' Ever" on the B-side.
The EP was a huge success in France and today it figures among the most searched albums by collectors.
Here we bring you the full 1961 EP. We hope you like it. Enjoy!
