After becoming a worldwide star, Elvis went to Tupelo to perform for the first time in his hometown as a solo artist.
Around 50.000 fans crowded the little city to see his two concerts at The Mississippi-Alabama Fair & Dairy Show on September 26, 1956.
They were benefit concerts for the construction of the Elvis Presley Youth Center, a recreational complex for the poor kids from East Tupelo.
Elvis did a third benefit concert for the complex on September 27, 1957.
It was built and inaugurated in 1961, after Elvis threatened to withdraw his contributions due to the many delays since 1956.
Here we bring you both 1956 concerts in full and 2 bonuses. We hope you like it. Enjoy!
