Jeremiah 3 expalins that Israel and as Judah were unfaithful and Gd also diverced them from himself. Judah as divorced in law if required. Matthew 5:32 and 19:9.hint sexual unfaithfulness can lead to divorce or even sex before marriage as 2 non virgins can nullify a marriage before it begins. Dueteronomy 24 hints the law can be be applied r.e. for adultery toards divorce, but divorce was not a get out clause to be remarried to someone else or each other again. A person can remarry if their spouse is dead see 2 Kings 4:1-7 and Dueteronomy 25, 5 - 6 and 1 Corinthians 7:8-9; 1 Timothy 5:14.
However the law forbids a person remarrying someone from whom they have already been divorced ? see Dueteronomy 24, 4 SO HOW CAN THE TWO STICKS BE JOINED BACK TOGETHER ONCE A CERTIFCIATE OF DIVORCE HAS BEEN GIVEN TO BOTH OF THEM AND THEY HAVE AGREED TO THAT DIVORCE AND WHO HAVE ALSO BEEN DIVORCED BY GOD ALSO I.E...... THE HOUSES OF ISRAEL AND JUDAH ? (both)

Joseph and Judah are not the same and are not "one" but are differing houses with different lands alotted to them (Judah's = Jerusalem and south and around Jerusalem as in this map https://www.conformingtojesus.com/charts-maps/en/israel's_neighboring_nations_map.htm ) and "Israel" in the Northern Kingdom with 10 tribes and with alloted lands with the Levites seperate. Judah is not Israel.Shem Noahs son made the line to Eber and from Eber came the Hebrews and Abraham who was a Hebrew (Genesis 12, & 14,13 & 15) Abraham passed the blessings onto isaac not Ismael and Isaac passed the blesssings to Jacob and not Esau (in brief). Jacob was renamed "Israel" who had 12 sons, 2 of whom were Judah and Joseph. All Jews are from Judah, Jacobs son and they are all Israelites, but all Israelites are not Jews. Judah and his brothers sold Joseph to be killed.But Joseph survived an became powerful in Egypt and his 2 sons Ephraim and Manasseh inherited from Joseph and in turn from Jacob as Israel and Isaac and Abraham etc.
JOSEPH THEN BECAME 2 TRIBES Ephraim (naem means fruitful or double fruit) and Manasseh (forgetful) with the inheritance. JOSHUA descended from Joseph established the borders of Israel as Judahs 2 sons had died . Joshua went forward to conquer Canaan. Israel was taken into Captivity as Assyria and Miedia ane wider Europe, Scandanavia and even the USA. (see videos on this near the beginning of this channel )
JUDAH as conquered by the Babylonians and took many of their customs. They were returned by the Persians to Judah (Judea) They were conquereed again by the Greeks and then the Romans. The temple was destroyed in AD70 and today Judah and Israel would be restored
