Easing my way back into day trading crude oil futures today. I used my open strategy to get back to it today. I had 2 trades. The first lost 11 ticks and the 2nd won 24 ticks.

I have been watching the crude oil futures market as is my custom after taking an extended break from day trading futures.

As of right now, the crude oil market went up 2P and down 3P on entry points. So all in all, the crude oil market looks promising. What I can tell you is the ADR (average daily range) has fallen from the 2.0 level that it was before I left to 1.6 level as of today.

So what this means is a lower volatility measurement even though we are trading above the 60 dollar a barrel handle once again starting this trading week off.
