Common spinning narratives tactics via statistics

Mark Twain popularized the saying that "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."

This phrase was then used a bajillion times in order to discredit both valid and invalid research and statistics - which, in turn, lowered the credibility of the phrase itself, in addition to lowering the credibility of research and statistics in the minds of the commoners.

Nevertheless, in the current year, the Cathedral Media insists on proving once again that Mr. Twain might have been onto something after all - as misuse of statistics is an integral part of the process of scientific lying.
