Dark Abandoned FUEL BUNKER | (New Gimbal Test!)

► THE EXPLORE: So this video was filmed back in Novemeber and is a revisit to a place I visited WAAAAY back when my channel first started. This abandoned fuel bunker was recently opened up again and Warren had not had a chance to see it yet so I took him there and showed him round, but thought it was a good opportunity to give my GoPro Hero 6 and new gimbal a proper test.
► SITE HISTORY: Built during the late 1930s by the Sir Robert McAlpine’s construction company. They bunkers were designed to provide a bombproof Royal Navy fuel oil reservoir to serve the fleet.
The walls of the bunkers are made of concrete 30 cm thick, and in places the roof is 6.7 metres thick; no German bomb produced during WWII was capable of this level of penetration. At least 15 men died during the construction, usually due to rock falls.
Due to the end of the Cold War and the changes to diesel fuel boats in the RN fleet, the pipeline and Fuel Bunker were decommissioned during the early 1990s.
