The disco music era is said to have began in mid 1974 with songs such as George McCrae's "Rock Your Baby", The Hues Corporation's "Rock the Boat". and this song, among others, which is a discofied version of The Jackson 5's million selling hit from a few years earlier. Along with "Honey Bee" and "Reach Out, I'll Be There", it reached #2 on the US dance charts in mid-'74, and later that year topped the dance charts as a single which crossed over into the Pop charts reaching #2 in the UK and #9 in the US.
