'Long Range" Full Choke Buckshot

I recently acquired a full choke tube for my Stevens 301 and am testing the viability of the gun for hunting deer with buckshot. First, I tried 50 yards, which only had two hits on the target. At 40 yards, there were seven hits on the target, indicating that 40 yards is a good maximum range for deer hunting with this shotgun. It is important to learn how your particular gun works with different ammunition. I am lucky to be able to shoot frequently, but I don't shoot many rounds. Instead I shoot in a way that allows me to learn something, instead of shooting for mere entertainment. I am disappointed with "mass shooters" who are randomly shooting innocent people. Guns are tools and should be treated with respect.
