The way you should combat the low ball comes down to how low and short we’re talking about and what position you want to be in for the next ball. You have 3 options – the topspin, deep slice, or dropshot. When the ball is high enough, the topspin shot is great because it allows your racket head the most space to build up speed. But if the ball is too low, at your ankles, the slice or dropshot is your best bet.
