I Ching Lesson 5, Part 3, Why Hex 41 & 10
This part of the video series, Understanding the I Ching, Lesson 5, will have several short parts. In these videos, we will discuss "WHY" a certain hexagram was received. This will help the querrent in understanding what situation is happening in their experience that has cause the I Ching to respond with a particular hexagram. While it is important to know what each reading/hexagram or series of hexagrams mean, I have found that it is extremely important to focus on "WHY" certain hexagrams are received. In looking at "Why" we get an idea of our station/status at a particular time and it helps us to see how we are responding to situations and helps us to see alternatives to these responses.

In some instances, when approaching the oracle in this manner, we are sort of "STOPPED" in our tracks before we ask a series of questions around a particular subject. The I Ching draws attention to where we are in the moment and by doing this when we do receive the answers to our questions that follow, we have a better chance at understanding what they mean and how we should proceed. It may even re-direct our query to the more pertinent issues at hand which are often the influences that are creating our need to seek answers from the I Ching Oracle, or any oracle for that matter.
