In my opinion, Wotan can be summoned in our people's minds and spirits and we can use his wisdom and his spear, Gungnir, to help protect us. In a figurative and archetypal, yet very realistic way. Get to know the concepts and attributes of Wotan. The very understanding of this concept is our Odinic-Faustian ability to place ourselves outside of ourselves and bring the mythic into reality, or to us our mental abilities to reach into the other worlds and bring such mythical concepts into being by bringing them into our realm, or Midgard. I cannot recommend this HIGHLY useful essay enough as I believe it includes a whole new set of keys that unlocks the understanding and ability of the Germanic/Indo-European mind and psyche.
