In this video Dr Ross talks about the possibility of full recovery from childhood trauma very positively. He even goes on to say that after dedicated effort on the part of both the therapist and the patient, its possible for a person to emerge who is actually mentally healthier than average. This is due to not only having worked through issues with all the insights that brings, but through that process having developed an understanding of how to work with thier own mind.

I have also found this to be true in my own therapy practise.
