Shantae and The Seven Sirens - Playthrough Part 7 (Ending)

Shantae's attempts to de-power the Siren ship were unsuccessful, so she had to take the battle to them. There is a pretty clever plot twist and she had to face The Seventh Siren, who is their Empress. This was quite a challenging fight and upon defeating her we got a nice satisfying ending.

Overall the game is really enjoyable, but much like Half-Genie Hero it's a bit on the easy side and even more so now. The boss battles in each level a slightly more balanced since they always have a puzzle element to them and the later levels provide some more difficult combat rooms, but once you upgrade your attack power and magic it's a pretty easy ride. Granted I played on Normal, so I'd recommend experience players start on Hard. The art and music are wonderful, but there wasn't the same amount of ear worms like Half-Genie Hero. The level design seems slightly more simplistic and the exploration isn't as fun since it can be reduced to trying different dances in all available rooms, but the Metroidvania aspect is there. The story is pretty basic, but it's enough to give you a motivation and the characters and NPCs are quite charming. I would recommend people wait for a price drop on this one, but fans of the series should definitely give it a try down the line.
