Many democrats and republicans were quick to criticize what appeared to be parody. It seems like the bill was meant as a joke almost. Columnists in Fox, WSJ, and Washington Post called the proposal insane, or "nuts."

But beyond the absurd environmental goals the bill offers up things that have nothing to do with the environment but come of as far leftist socialist ideology. Healthcare, union jobs, race based equity.

This bill is insane. period.
