Why Do Police Officers Shoot Unarmed Suspects?

This video by an anonymous expert explains why law enforcement officers shoot suspects who are unarmed, such in the Jacob Blake case which triggered devastating "Black Lives Matter" riots in Kenosha Wisconsin. Of course, most black lives, as well as others, would be saved during arrests, if the subject would just respect police officers and cooperate when the police officer is acting lawfully. If it is thought the officer is not acting lawfully that can be decided better and more safely by a supervisor at the station or in court, rather than on the street.

The video points out that the policeman is at a disadvantage, if a subject has a gun and decides he's going to use it. It takes the policeman a few tenths of a second to react and by that time he could already be shot dead if he waits to see the gun first.
