ASK Cancer Wisdom: Can Cbd Oil Cure Cancer?
Discover if medical cannabis can cure cancer or not. If you have cancer and want to know if it's a good option then watch this video.
Can Cbd Oil Cure Cancer?
Cannabis compounds like tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) can reduce brain tumor volume in mice. They have also suppressed cancer cell growth in a petri dish. Cannabinoids have relieved the effects of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting.
There are few studies on humans. The first human clinical study happened in 2006. Nine patients with recurrent brain cancer got THC injections into the tumor.
The patients failed standard therapies such as surgery and radiotherapy before the study. Sadly all the patients died after a couple of months. In some patients, the tumors shrunk but later returned.
This was the first and only clinical cancer-cannabis trial. It was a tiny study, that had no control group.
There are more clinical trials underway. The most promising one is an Israeli study. This study will look at the effect cannabis has on cancer.
Because of legal issues, there are few clinical trials on humans. The scientific evidence is evolving, but there is not enough information yet.
Medical Marijuanas For Cancer
Medical marijuana is now legal, in 24 states in The U.S but not on the federal level. 16 other states allow the use of hemp oil. Hemp oil is low in THC but high in cannabidiol (CBD).
Big pharmaceutical companies have fought tooth and nail to ban cannabis. It is a threat to their business model. To perform any clinical studies on cannabis, researchers must first apply for a DEA license. These licenses are hard to get.
Most studies take place in other countries such as Canada and Israel. These countries have already legalized cannabis for medical use.
Most of our evidence is anecdotal. Rick Simpson was a former engineer that got Basal cell carcinoma in late 2002. He had three lumps on his body. One on his chest, right eyebrow, and left cheek.
Rick placed a few drops of his cannabis oil on band-aids and covered the lesions with them. After four days of using his oil, his tumors disappeared.
Rick grew his own plants and made oils himself. His oil helped a lung cancer patient survive. He also helped many other patients.
The future of cannabis is bright. But you have to do your own experiments to know if it’s working.
Cancer is a symptom of an underlying imbalance. Your entire lifestyle and diet choices must change first to eliminate cancer cells. If you use cannabis but don't change your habits, it will not be as effective.
