Constitution Project: https://constitutionproject.ro/
The Wuhan Flu panic has brought more people in Europe being interested in more fundamental topics. Discussing individual freedom as a paramount concept even when the plebs are afraid used to be a lot less common 5 months ago.
But seeing how many weaklings are willing to support totalitarianism for essentially no reason and after being subjected to half-baked priming via an incomplete propaganda manual - suddenly even many of those who used to be skeptics are now asking some important questions.
It is already quite clear (and will become even clearer in the next few months) that the countries with a more solid Constitution went through the panic period much better than those with less than solid fundamental laws.
So we brought Andrei Murgescu of the Romanian Constitution Project for a chat about Constitutions, about the relevance of fundamental laws and about the limits of Constitutions. We start with Romanian issues but then gradually move to a more European approach because most of the issues found are, to a certain extent, endemic to Europe and quite specific to Europe.
Of course, in the little over 100 minutes conversation we also went quite a bit through the vulgar pride of intellectuals, the effects of propaganda, the set of incentives among the so-called "scientific community", the importance of tradition and even some esoteric topics like the Romanian Patriarch :)
Hope y'all like it.
