Symphony No. 14 in A major, K. 114 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Mozart completed this symphony in 1771 at the age of 15. This work was completed two weeks after the death of Sigismund von Schtrattenbach, the Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg. During his time as Price-Archbishop, Schrattenbach would employ Leopold Mozart as well as the young Wolfgang in his episcopal court orchestra. The man who would replace the sympathetic Schrattenbach was Count Hieronymus von Colloredo. The relationship between Colloredo and Wolfgang was so unpleasant that it was a primary reason that Mozart left to work in Vienna.

This symphony is comprised of four movements:
I. Allegro moderato
II. Andante
III. Menuetto
IV. Molto allegro
