Timothy Holt operate Holt Growers in Eau Claire, PA. Holt Growers is a backyard market garden farm growing fresh, all-natural fruit and vegetables and raising chickens for eggs.
For the past several weeks, we have had water coming into the basement via the wall in the video. This area is going to be our post harvest and packaging area. This video shows how we repaired the holes with hydraulic cement. Later, once the cement is set up, we will seal and paint the wall and floor. Stay tuned for videos covering that coming soon.
Materials Needed:
nitrite gloves
work gloves
small bucket/tube (for mixing in)
cement trowel
water
hydraulic cement compound
Process:
1st: Thoroughly clean the area being repaired. Remove any loose debris. (not shown in video)
2nd: cutback/ enlarge holes for good adhesion (not shown in video)
3rd: mix cement in small batches
4th: tightly pack cement into holes and smooth with trowel
5th: once dry, brush off excess cement (not shown)
6th: seal with concrete sealer (not shown)
