Trevor Noah and the American election

Trevor Noah tries to blow smoke in your eyes trying to get you outraged over voter registration and the list of people/registrations that are to be considered fraudulent. But does he have a point? In a country where identification is not needed to cast a vote, is voter fraud and voter manipulation an issue? I think it is, but that doesn't fit the narrative of the left, that voter identifiction is equal to racism.
