Stop-Motion Transformation of DX9 K3 La Hire. Another amazing design by the team at DX9/UT - this is the best team outside of Takara, hands-down. Not quite as elegant as Peru, but a real magic trick nonetheless. It even has an interior (of sorts) and seats! I love how all the flats stack up in the torso - reminds me a bit of MPM-03 Bumblebee. There are some close clearances - if you follow my sequence, you can avoid any trouble. You don’t have to do as much parking as I do (particularly the arms) if you don’t have to worry about standing it like I do.

Robot to Car: 1:36
Speed run to Robot: 3:02
Speed run to Car: 3:31
2x Run: 3:59
End credits: 4:27
Production Note: I decided to leave the end-credits bit in color because it looked cool. Aaand it looks like garbage recompressed by YouTube. I will go back to black and white for that from now on.
Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using the Chrome plugin called "Frame by Frame for YouTube". It turns your , and . keyboard keys into single-frame movement keys. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
