Blueberries are a great fruit to grow in the backyard. They bloom between early summer and early fall. We have 3 different varieties. Some were planted 6 years ago; others were 3 years ago. Others still were planted last year.
Blueberry bushes take 3-5 years to mature. So if your looking for a quick harvest, they may not be right for you. However, a healthy bush can live for decades and will generally produce berries every other year for life.
